We truly believe in giving back to and supporting growth in our community. As our small buisness starts to grow this year, we'd like to commit to pledging 5% off all our sales profit revenue to be donated for direct use in the community. 

What is a CSA?

 “Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), … consists of a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes, either legally or spiritually, the community's farm, with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production.”  - USDA

In 2024, we will be repurposing our front hemp field to start a community supported agriculture project. After several years of trial runs with our community garden project and training with local farms, we are finally ready to move forward. We are planning on a planting a mix of tomatoes, carrots, eggplant, beans, peas, kale, peppers, basil, beets, lettuce, swiss chard, pak choy, leeks, lemon balm, cucumber, spinach, okra, squash, sunflowers, pumpkins, melons and cauliflower.  It's our first year growing produce on a smaller commercial scale from seed. We are starting out with 30 available shares that can be purchased through our farm page. If you are interested in a share click on the Hen & Oak Farm Page for more information. Extra boxes may be available from week to week based on availability and any overstock will be brought to local food shelves.
